The first thing to understand about duality is that it divides; it’s either one thing or the other, black or white, right or wrong. Duality separates through perceptual judgments. It is the belief in opposing forces that conflict with each other and often create great drama and chaos. Every argument, prejudice, and noble cause consists of two sides of a single issue. It is the duality that struggles with another aspect of itself in the realm of opposites.
To give some example of how duality operates, we can look at the idea of supremacy. In duality, the view is that one is above another. Some people believe their cause is more worthy, more deserving than others, and they take far more than they need. People compare themselves to others, and judge themselves as being better or worse, which leads to an inflated ego or condemnation.
Another example of duality is the concept that the two forces of good and evil are warring against each other. In this view, there is a tendency to either attack or defend for the benefit of itself. This ideology has become so extreme that humans are convinced to constantly compete, fight and even kill each other. Duality is used to create an “us versus them” mentality.
Please consider that what is called as ‘evil’ or ‘satanic’ is a false perception. The concept that evil exists is a gross human mis-creation and perversion of a unified reality, not something inherent to the Universe itself. We can simply point to the fact that what is defined as “evil” varies from culture to culture, and also between individuals. The idea of evil even changes as our minds and opinions change.
Evil might more accurately be regarded as the destructive result of fearful and negative perception born from the human ego that seeks to establish itself as separate from the whole. If you fear it, you attract it. If you believe in it, it is real for you.
All dualities are mind-born illusions that keep us divided. Duality is a false program of perception created through the human intellect and continually fed by our fears. There is only one overarching power in the Universe and this field of energy is omnipresent, pure divine love. To say this is not just a statement of adoration and praise to our Creator, it is a statement of principle. It is a statement of the great Universal Law of One, of absolute unity.
There is no second power that can compete and war against this. Absolute means ABSOLUTE. If our Creator is omnipresent, then this awareness is everywhere present. So what could be considered evil? Who are we to judge it? The human program called duality has been born out of our self-created separation from Source.
